Step 1: Unplug the washer

Disconnect the washer from the electrical outlet.

Step 2: Prepare the Washer

  • Move the washer away from the wall to create enough space for you to work comfortably.
  • Place a towel or soft blanket on the floor to protect the washer and the floor surface.

Step 3: Access the Front Panel

To access the front panel, you’ll need to remove the top panel first.

  • Use pliers to depress the locking tabs on the upper shock absorber mount.

Step 5: Replace the New Shock Absorbers

  • Position the new shock absorber by inserting the lower mount into its base.
  • Rotate the shock absorber clockwise to lock it into place.

Step 6: Reassemble and plug in the Washer

  • Reattach the front panel using the screws or clips you removed earlier.
